Affiliate Broker License Applicants

All applicants for the Affiliate Broker License must have:

  • High School diploma or a GED
  • 18 years old or older
  • 60-hour Prelicense course, approved by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission
  • 30-hour "Course For New Affiliates”, approved by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission
  • Pass the Tennessee Affiliate Broker license examination administered by PSI

TREES 60-hour Affiliate Broker Prelicense Course and the 30-hour “Course For New Affiliates” are both approved by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission. Also, both of these courses are offered in classroom, online and home study formats.

As a requirement for affiliate broker license renewal, all affiliate broker licensees must complete 16 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years. Of the 16 hours, 6 hours must be the Commission approved 6-hour Core course and the student can choose the remaining 10 hours of approved course topics.
